Lets be honest here. If you enjoy Mikko, you're not looking for ultra high end, super legit sushi. You're not looking to spend 25-50 dollars a person on sushi, this is a great place to get sushi at a great value. Its consistantly better than I expect to. Realistic expectations have everything to do with your dining experience, wherever that ...

“Awful, awful & awful”- That pretty much sums up both the service and food quality your going find at this restaurant. The only thing Japanese about their them is their name. Found a freaken hair in my sushi! Pointed it out to them politely and asked for it to be replaced, they did and wanted me to pay for the non-used hair portion of the ...

    THE WORST SUSHI PLACE.

The food quality is horrible, their Bento Box is nothing more than low-grade Chinese food. Figures that the owner is Korean. Authentic Japense Sushi my a$$.

The sushi is generic, nothing incredible. All these people who think its' the best ever are nuts! Its' the 'Dennys' of sushi, edible but nothing fantastic. Try Kaisen on Oceanside Blvd, fresher fish and better vibe.

I try to eat at Mikko at least once a month. I've found the quality and service to be consistent from visit to visit. Having eaten at many sushi establishments all over Southern California, I've found Mikko to be a place I enjoy returning to. The prices are more than reasonable, the food is good quality and the service is great. The sushi ...

  • No Sushi takeout / to go
    By Damon, 08/09/06
I came in to get a few rolls for lunch, as I had read nice reviews here. To my dissapointment, there is a 5 roll minimum!! Not only that, but you can only dine-in to eat sushi!! So I need to buy 5 rolls, and eat in the restaurant to have some sushi? No, thank you.

  • Not Your Average Sushi Bar
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/06
Ok..I admit it, I'm a sushi addict. I'm always up for trying new places. However, when I walked into the door of this charming establishment just off of the 5 in carlsbad and sat at the Sushi bar I was pleasantly surprised by quick, efficient service and generous portions of the freshest fish, which melts in your mouth like butter, that I ...
