Overstaffed yet horrible service...? Perhaps you get what you pay for. We came in at 8pm on a Friday and it was maybe a quarter full (no need for reservations). It took 15 min to get a server, then our drinks took another 15. The amazing part is that the staff congregates around the bar, sending out the message "we don't give a s***". ...

By far my favorite local restaurant. The Salmon Nicoise is to die for!

We have been dining at the Eclectic for several years.The food is fabulous and the decor and ambience arecasual yet upbeat and hip. Good wine selection and we love the crab cakes and chicken marsala. We have also enjoyed the Sunday brunch especially the french toast stuffed with cream cheese,,We are glad to see they added valet parking on the week-end nights as the place is so popular.,especially before and after the theatre.

On first glance Eclectic appears to have a nice 1990's decor, but on a second inspection it appears dirty, shabby, and pretentious. The menu is extremely limited unless you want pasta. We are vegetarians and enjoy Eclectic's pastas, salads and pizza. The greek salad pizza is one of our favorites. The vegetable soup, served daily, is very good. Good beers on tap, bread served with the meal, rich tasting coffee, a relaxing atmosphere and friendly service top off the experience.

Didn't seem like much from the outside but it was a wonderful surprise once inside. The ambiance was delightful. The service was outstanding. The whole staff was extremely friendly. Made me feel very welcomed. So far, I'ts the best service i've received in an L.A. restaurant.

I've been there many times, and have taken to going there for special occasions: birthdays, New Year's Eve. The staff is always incredibly friendly and charming. I've never had a bad experience there. It's one my faves in LA.
