it was my first time eating at this restaurant. The food was nasty, the service was poor. I will never eat there again!!! Chris n pitts is soooo much better!!!

I don't pass through the area without planning a stop here to eat. I highly recommend it to any one who loves to eat.

don't believe the haters - this one is worth the trip!

The BBQ food here is very good, I tried their sampler and had enough in my doggie-bag for two more meals. My service was excellent -- the waitress even brought a small bit of their cole-slaw to sample. Sawdust on the floor and the older building give it a rustic feel. The pricing is neither cheap nor expensive. I'll definitely return sooner than later.

The best lamb sandwiches and ribs

This is a SoCal landmark. I know I have been going there ever since I was a kid (30+ years ago). Their BBQ beef and ham sandwhiches are great and if you get them with the sweet "shirley" sauce there is nothing like them.. The sanwhiches are served on cheesy garlic toast and that makes the difference.
