I like Ali Baba. I like Shavarma Plate both Beef and Chicken. Little expensive though.

Ali Baba's is the best Mediterranean food in town! My Fiancé and I had our first date there, we have gone back many times since and are now having them cater our wedding. Wonderful service, delicious spices, and breath of fresh air from all its corprate competition.

Was a bit hesitant about going. The food was terrific and the prices very reasonable. Will be a regular destination.

Best Hummus
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/07
It is hard to find variety in Newbury Park and Alibaba is a regular choice for me. They have the best hummus and I also enjoy their kebabs, curry, falafel, pita sandwiches and salads. It is a small restaurant where the owners cook and serve. They remember your name and what you like.
The food is fantastic and the owners are top notch. Each Thanksgiving, the owners cook a meal for the homeless and lonely members of the Newbury Park community. Enough said, they deserve anyone's business.
The owner is from the town of Bethlehem. His clientele is a wonderful mix of Americans, Palestinians and Jews who all enjoy the food and each other's company (as it should be!).
All the food is fresh and authentic with the usual staples of Hummous, Kebabs, Falafel and even Khubbe.
Always enjoy a visit to taste the variety of eastern dishes. The wonderful spices, vegetarian options and owner graciousness adds to the lunch or dinner. Go for the food and friendship.
