For those that love this place but hate the staff and customer service, you should go to the Porto's in Burbank instead. Big free parking lot in back and excellent customer service there.
Porto's Bakery in Burbank, (818) 846-9100, 3614 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505.

This place is awful... We know how amazing the cakes are, the desserts are, the potatao balls, but it is not ok for them to treat you like crap! nobody acknowledged us standing there, nor did they even look up at us!!! I guess I can live without those "potatao balls"

Such a consistent disappointment. Never going back. Had such huge hopes for this beautiful-looking place. Sadly, the lines and the shockingly unhelpful staff makes this place not worth my visit. I wish my negative experience was a one-time issue, but I have tried to visit regularly since they opened, wishing desperately that I was just ...

The food is good and the bakery is good. Not worth it when it's crowded. For a real cuban food experience got to Mambo's. And I think the owners are anti-Castro, which totaly sucks. Long live the revolution! Viva Fidel!

Owners and workers are very rude, stuck up and arrogant. It's not worth going. They treat you as if you are getting everything for free or worse robbing them. Never went back again. Desserts, sandwiches, etc. might be good but it's not worth the treatment you will receive. Customer service at its worst. NO EXCUSES!!!

My deli sandwich was good...even though there was a wait it was somewhat worth it.The only thing I didn't like that they only accepted cash. I hardly ever carry cash.

Been at the place several times & like the pastries, sandwiches, and cakes a whole lot. Although, I strongly suggest to improve their customer service with a better system so the place is not noisy & chaotic, there will be no pushing around and people will act more civilized and of course good customer oriented staffs. It will be worth the travel ...

Every time I go in to Portos Bakery whether it's busy or not they are sooo attentive to our needs. We love thier services. They are the best! Love the cakes, pastries, and goodies. We recently went to Merengue Cuban Bakery in Monrovia, CA. There is absolutely no comparison in both. Their cakes are dried and don't provide the 100% customer ...
