My Experience: Really Bad Overall.
The staff is nice, but the seaweed in the sushi was gummy, not fresh. The crab spread in the california roll had a lot of mayo stuff in the mix. The staff forgot to put No Avocado in the Tempura rolls, we were going to ask them to take it back, but no one came by for like 10 min., we decided to just take it out ...

Everyone who did not give Tokyo Wako five stars is absolutely insane. The food is incredible and one of the best Japanese food restaurants I've ever been to. Compared to Benihana's, this place is a miracle. Don't even bother going to Benihana's anymore. The sushi is always fresh as well as everything else. The service is amazing: everyone is so nice! You should definitely try this place! AMAZING!!!

I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I EAT THERE THREE TO FOUR TIME A MONTH!! THEIR FOOD IS LIKE FREAKING AMAZING!!!! AND THEY HAVE GREAT ICE CREAM!!

This place SUCKS. I took my father there for fathers day. My sister, her boyfriend and my father all got their food. I did not get my food till we were ready to LEAVE. Then of course since it was prepared they still wanted us to pay for it. I ended up throwing it in the trash... like sushi stays edible on a car drive home!

I visited Tokyo Wako with my wife and son. The staff was very polite and attentive. The sushi experience, however, was not so good. Both the tuna and the albacore were bad. Great service, reasonable price, and so much fun to watch! the cooks basically do all these cool tricks with fire and stuff and the food turned out delicious!

If you like bad ambiance and mediocre sushi then this is the place for you. As you walk in it looks more like an Islands Restaurant than a sushi bar. Saturday nights you can enjoy all the drunks walking around your table as your entertainment. The prices are typical of a sushi restaurant ($18-$30 pp). I've eaten there 3 times in 2 years and the experience is always the same, bad.

The place was very crowded, so if you are not seating at a Teppan table or private room, forget about the rest.
