I've been to McKenna's on numerous ocassions and have enjoyed myself each time. My favorite dinner dish is the halibut but their appetizers are great also. The outdoor patio is perfect on a warm evening, except that I miss the fire pit. Everyone is always very nice and accommodating.

Too pricey for what you get.My steak was too rare and I new that if I sent it back they would just nuke it and that would dry it out.

What a wonderful afternoon at McKenna’s . . . jumbo shrimp cocktail and the shrimp are actually really “jumbo”. Excellent selection on the menu Service was five star. The Holiday decorations really set the mood for our party! I found out when calling for reservations ask when the sun will be setting. They’ll give you the exact time.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon I took my cousin and mother to McKenna's. We had a very nice table with an excellent view of Alamitos Bay. I started off with an Amstel Light and then ordered salmon, which was grilled perfectly and tasted great! Several sailboats, yachts and ships passed by the window which created a pleasant atmosphere that my ...

Wonderful atmsophere ! Old Fogies, Stay away, might be a bit too noisy for you. If you're young at heart and want to share time with friends and family this is the place to be. The lounge and patio area are perfect for watching the boats sail by in Alamitos Bay. Excellent entertainment and special events make this a must place to dine and ...

Easter Buffet

food was good. Can't beat looking out over the Harbor at passing yachts. Had an issue with more being charged to my card than authorized but that was resolved.
The service, food and ambiance were barely mediocre. You could easily expect better! Portions were small and over priced for what they are serving up. You and your money would be better off dining at many of the other upscale Seal/Long Beach restaurants instead.

Nice place to go on a sunny day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/06
McKenna's is a nice place to go to for lunch on a sunny, breezy, southern California day. The seating outside in the patio is first come first serve. The food is good, but the menu is priced rather oddly. Appetizers cost more than regular sandwiches entree orders (such as a club sandwich) and the sandwiches cost more than the burgers(??). Not ...

There are much better places in Long Beach to Eat.
I took my parents here for their fiftieth wedding anniversary dinner. The staff of the restaurant did not mention a word about this special occasion, despite being informed of the special day when the reservation was made. Food was OK; nothing special...Very loud restaurant. I think my mom's departing comment summed it up best: "We should have eaten at Outback Steakhouse"!
