Absolutely loved my dinner here (had the endive salad, mac & cheese with truffle sauce and flourless chocolate cake). Was part of a big group (maybe 10 ppl) so service was OK but the food was creative and full of flavor. The decor is crazy-sweet (black and white everything). Servers wear a black tophat with cards lodged into the brim! Went on a Thursday night and it was extremely busy so reservations are a must.

Food kicks butt for a hotel restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/06
Usually hotel restaurants aren't always the best places to eat. But Whist at the Viceroy is one of the few exceptions. Like the hotel itself, lighting in the restaurant is dimly lit, but makes for good ambiance. The food is excellent, as is the service. I've never had a bad dish or bad service here. A bit pricey, but well worth it.
