Great food, great service but this place is always busy and can't get a seat

I have been to the apple pan twice. I caught food poisoning twice. Its gross when you see the guy cooking and serving your burger with blood all over his apron. I like their french fries. They should sanitize that place.

It's just an ok to good burger in a historic but somewhat plain building. It's a sit a the counter with a long wait for a seat when you want to go. Do not drive far for this

The Hamburgers are good, not great. Yes, you may have to wait a bit. The Banana Pie is what I go there for. Every person that I have taken has loved either the Apple Pie of the Banana Pie, Personally I am a huge fan of the Banana pie. Small joint, long wait, lousy hamburger ! I have eaten hamburgers all over America and hands down this is an average burger at best.

Wow, I am so happy to hear that this wonderful place is still around!!! It has been over twenty years since I have eaten at the Apple Pan. I might have to make special trip into the city just to stop by and have a hickory burger and some apple pie with that yummy, juicy, syrupy stuff drizzled on top!!

A bit surprised that most reviews here discuss the burgers. As a fairly newbee to L.A. (4 years old) I assumed the Apple Pan was a place to eat PIES not burgers.
