What a great place to eat! A must try! Went over the Memorial day weekend there were some locals and we have a great chat with them! Thanks Minato for the great food and great service!

Food was fair. The Philly rolls were decent. The Salmon sashimi was very below-average. Miso soup was fine. The service was slow and white rice ordered was never brought over.
Ambience was more along the lines of a sports bar.
The prices are Nobu-high, but without the food or service to match. A must miss.

Excellent food and excellent service. I have eaten sushi/sashimi at places all over California and none compare to the freshness of Minato. I live in Arizona now and travel out to Laughlin at least once a month to Minato's. Great Salmon, Tuna and Albacore sashimi. Great rainbow roll.

SUSHI LIKE IT WAS RIGHT ON THE COAST: We ordered a california, tuna, cucumber, philly, and spicy tuna/eel roll and the check was barely over $30. Great prices, great sushi, great service. The sushi chefs were friendly and so was the waitress. Can't resist good sushi.

Key is the MAN - Sam owns Minato and you will not find a better Sushi anywhere. Last week I took two of my best friends to Minato for thier birthday with the wifes we were a party of six. We order the "BOAT" full of sushi and we are big eaters and could not finish off the "BOAT". Also; we had six big OB beers and six big socki's and the bill was less than $200. If you don't eat @ MINATO you are STUPID!

A friend and I tried Minato when we were on a business trip to nearby Kingman. I was astounded. I live in San Francisco -- and have also lived in London, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia -- and this was some of the best sushi I've ever had. Fresh fish in the desert, no way! The Albacore is the best I've ever had. Great service and a super drink selection.

Sushi in the desert and it's fresh! The Hawaiian rolls are the best.

Minato's serves some of the best sushi around.
The salmon is always fresh and buttery.
The temperatures are perfect. While some sushi restaurants tend to serve their stuff at closer to room temps, Minato's is nice and cool, giving it a much fresher flavor.
I highly reccomend stopping.
