La Fonda is a landmark in these parts and is good if you're not an expert in Mexican food. I like the chips and salsa but sometimes the food leaves something to be desired- Last time we ate there I had a taco salad- It was a tortilla shell (good) filled with salad (carrot chunks and all- not so good) smothered in chili (like chili dog chili- gag) and topped with fritos. Not exactly what I would call Mexican! Yuck!

We take a Youth group from our church in Irving, TX to the Sacramento Methodist Assembly every year for a "Mision Trip".
We ALWAYS stop at Lafonda, as it is a favorite of the kids (repeat missionaries). The service is good, and the value/food ratio is very good. Highly reccommended by Nothgate UMC youth and sponsors.
