We were just in Santa Fe for the day. I had read several reviews, and we decided to brave the long wait and eat at the Shed for lunch. The primary problem was the lack of service, and we did receive one of the tables tucked away in a corner (at least we had a view of the patio). We had three different wait staff, and nobody took ownership of our ...

Excellent food and prices. The only problem is that everyone knows how good it is and the wait can be long. Even if you don't call for reservations, the Shed is worth the wait. We were planning to go to a different, highly recommended resturant later in our stay but opted to go back to the Shed. The food was so good that we broke our own rule and went back to the same place twice.

This is in response to a yahoo user who reviewed the Shed on 3/13/08. The experience the writer describes is exactly why my husband and I no longer consider ourselves patrons. When we lived an hour away we would look forward to driving to Santa Fe just to eat there but the more frequently we went the more we realized how unappreciated we were. We ...

Tourist haunt. Pricey. Weird food that mixes northern NM flavor with .... whatever is left in the kitchen. Watch you head when you are walking around... great service... but not where the locals like to eat. If you are a tourist... you will dig it.

My girlfriends and I have visited the Shed every year in June for the past ten years - the food is consistently excellent - from the Gaspacho and Raspberry Soups, and the Green Bean Salad...to the homemade Sangria...recommend you sit in the courtyard under the trees and enjoy the Santa Fe weather!

Wonderful! An excellent dining experience! The atmosphere was great, food and service were excellent and don't even get me started on the Apple Pie. I was a baker for 10 years and never tasted Dutch Apple Pie like that. We plan on dining at The Shed whenever we're in Santa Fe. Make reservations...and don't miss this one!

As a local and a regular (once a week) customer, I eat at The Shed because their blue corn chicken enchiladas with red chile remind me of my mom's cooking. As I was waiting to be seated in an empty waiting area, I observed other people being seated ahead of me, even though they had arrived after I did. Recalling a recent occasion when I ...

We showed up on the Shed’s colorful patio at 10:55 and were asked to wait until they opened at 11:00. We got a great quiet table for two along one wall. By 11:05, every table on the patio was full. I ordered the red huevos rancheros over easy, he ordered the green, scrambled. Our meals arrived posthaste. As the server said, “they are ...

After 6 years of Santa Fe living I finally went!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/05
Whenever I get a serious craving for New Mexican food I usually go to Tia Sophia's, Tomasita's, Diego's or La Choza. Recenty, I decided to check out The Shed for lunch. I had the blue corn cheese enchiladas with green chili. The green chili was terrific, definitely hot enough for a local. The only thing I didn't like was the garlic bread served with the meal. I really prefer the traditional sopaipilla with my New Mexican food.
