I was treated very kindly by a young woman with long dark curly hair when I stopped to check the place for a later dinner with my wife and kids. Sorry Cowgirl fans, this restaurant was not great for me. The employees were rude. Not only am I born and raised in Santa Fe, but know most the restaurants. This was one of the worst. I gave it more then 3 chances to redeem itself, and nope disappointed. I was ignored plenty of times, the food was awful, and I got sick from there. I give Cowgirl one star! I have decided to not give Cowgirl any more chances I am tired of being sick!

Wonderful food from buffalo burgers to the roasted artichokes, wonderful drinks and food and friendships to be had by all! They have local music groups playing most nights and a wonderful ambiance! Try the chilli for something warm and hearty or go for the salmon tacos, they are KILLER! During the spring and summers their outdoor patio is the best ...
This very rustic restaurant is filled with the delicious aroma of smoked meats and spicy sauces. Delicious desserts make a nice meal topper. Service is very friendly and unpretentious. Interesting historic pictures of real cowgirls and times past. A nice way to catch good barbeque in an eclectic western locale.

Yee-Ha! I Love this restaurant!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/05
Cowgirl is such a fun place to eat, have a drink, and people watch. Locals and visitors sit side by side here. The food is wonderful and caters to the carnivore as well as the vegetarian. They recently started opening for breakfast too. I recommend the frito pie.

Santa Fe's Signature Gem!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/05
The ambience at the Cowgirl is perfect, with the western memoribilia on the walls and the waiters and waitresses in jeans, cowboy boots, and hats. The food was delicious, well-varied, and at a fair price. And the waitstaff deserve a gold medal for their attentiveness and fast service. Even when busy, you never have to wait long. This restaurant is ...
