Frontier is a landmark- one of the first places I went when I moved to town for school and four years later I am still going back. The food is real good, always hits the spot and you can't beat the prices. There are so many things on the menu that I like to order, it can be a tough decision. The house-made tortillas are perfect, I have gone ...

We have been eating at the Frontier for many years and never found it lacking in menu choices and the pricing is fair. The ambience is mostly what we go there for, with an incredible western art display, it is almost a museum, and the local patronage is always fun to watch. It's a place anyone can feel entirely comfortable, whether you are in jeans and t-shirts or just coming from the NM Symphony after a concert.

I grew up here. Spent most of my college days here. The food is excellent and well priced. I have yet to find anything I didnt love on the menu. But it is more than just the well-priced and delicious food; is the aura of the place. Frontier is the Icon of the city and symbolic of the harmonious mix and live and let live attitude of this state. ...

The Frontier is a restaraunt that does a little bit of everything. Their main charm is that they are near the University of New Mexico and used to stay open 24/7. I would rate their total taste in Mexican food as average. In my opinion their highlight in Mexican food is on the breakfast side.

This was also the first restaurant I was introduced to when I came to NM over 30 years ago. It has only gotten bigger but the food remains the same...good quality (try the fresh squeezed OJ and Frontier Rolls (best in town) as a breakfast), fast service and a very interesting crowd of local celebs, college students, families, etc.

I was introduced to this place soon after arriving to town. I met a friend there for lunch. Since then I have had breakfast and dinner as well. Whatever the time of day, it's great. Prices are decent and the food is really tasty. Very local NM and flavorful. I would have the Green Chili Stew on anything you have. Great taste.

Whoever decided that this restaraunt was top in the U.S is crazy! What about Gabriel's in Santa Fe? Probably the best mexican fod I have ever had. Someone needs to rewrite the books here! Or get a new critic!
