I went there last night 12.19.08 while I was waiting for my wife and daughter whom were attending a concert. Overpriced for portions, charged me $2.00 for extra gravy that came on the plate not on the side, waiter charged another tables bill to my credit card, and people were very unfriendly. I've been to Haus Murphy a few times and have always had a great time. The food is excellent, the beer is cold, with very friendly wait staff. The place has a very nice historic feel to it which adds to the experience. There is an outdoor seating area and some nights they have a band that plays out there.

Used to be very good but has gone downhill in the past few years. They have been understaffed the last few times that I've dined here and the last time I was slightly ill by the time I got home. very sad, it used to be one of my favorite places to eat but it appears that they're cuttincorner to ave money.

I thought this woudl be a special place for a date. The waitress never checked on us, my food was like shoe leather and after spending nearly $90, I had enough. Overpriced wine and champagne that tasted very cheap. I was hoping that they desserts would be better and authenic (german), but they also were a disappointment- more like Betty Crocker.
