This restaurant is straight from the 1930s. Old style service with a smile. Really great food. Recipes that have lasted for generations. Fresh bread baked in house. You can easily see why Lamb's has been a SLC favorite for so many years. And believe it or not, one of their signature dishes is lamb chops -- the best in Utah. It is very near one of the Trax train stops and a perfect ending to a walk through downtown in the evening.

Lamb's Grill is kinda lame
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/07
We had dinner at Lamb's grill. The food we had was really good, however it was kinda lame. We had to make a reservation, but we were the only people in the restaurant, and they had Frankfurters and Grilled Cheese on the menu. Since we had to make a reservation we expected a much more upscale dining experience.
I have been going to Lamb's since 1976. I moved away (to CA) for 16 years, and every time I came back to visit family, something I always looked forwards to was a meal at Lambs. Even if I went alone, it didn't matter - - Lambs is one of those places that you will never feel lonely by yourself. It's a great experience to even sit at ...

Marvelous! Wonderful! Excellent!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/06
I would like to know what restaurant those people that wrote the negative reviews ate at? It wasn't "lambs". I have had lunch or dinner here once a week for the last 10 years and I have never had a bad meal. The food is superb and the service is second to none. The atmosphere is full of romance and ambiance. On Friday nights ...
I took the recommendations of City Weekly Awards this place has received and decided to host some photographers from a national magazine for lunch. Was very unimpressed with the food. The atmosphere is cute and classy, but once you get your food, the room suddenly looks just as bad as your sandwich.
On another trip to Lamb's, several ...

I've never understood why Lamb's is so well liked
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/05
The several times I've visited Lamb's, I've been absolutely disappointed each time. Food's hardly memorable, certainly not the amazing fare most people seem to recall so fondly when they talk about Lamb's, and the restaurant itself has just enough of a greasy-spoon feel to seem run-down and low-quality, not "full of character" as people also talk about.
Lamb's is a good old eating establishment. For Utahns, it is an historic landmark. My parents always talked about Lamb's and yes, the one time I went there it was pretty good, but the Reuben sandwich is what stood out. Trust me, even if that's all you get, you won't regret it.

Lambs Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/05
The food was not hot, not much flavor and the fries were frozen, not acceptable for a restaurant of this type.
