  • Pinons is still great

    Having been away from Aspen for a couple years, I was a little concerned that some of my favorites may have gone downhill. When I searched, Pinons did not appear at the top of the Yahoo! Local reviews, so I was relieved to read in the local paper that this month (Sept. 2006) Aspen Times readers voted Pinons the best "pricey eats" ...

  • Pinons doesn't measure up

    Pinons is one of those restaurants that masquerades as "great," but is, in fact, mediocre at best. And given the prices (and pretensions) "mediocre" is a failing grade. At about $100 per person, our meal was thoroughly uninspired, service was vague. I will not go back.
