The Rio is my favorite restaurant of all time (and my wife's). The food is excellent, the service is always top notch, and the margaritas are loaded! One of the reviews below said that the margaritas are not that strong. I am a 28 year old male and I weigh about 190 lbs. Two margs get me pretty tipsy, three and I'm seeing double. I drive ...

I recently ate outside near the fountain. During the ample time I had waiting for service, I was able to acquire a taste for the smell of the dumpsters.
Don't waste your money on the margaritas. They're not that good and not as strong as people say. Go get some Jose Cuervo and make your own at home. Then go to La Luz for better ...

I do love the Rio, but does any one else notice the SMELL of this restaurant? It is disgusting. Especially the part of the restaurant when you first walk in and to the right up on the platform there, it must be the carpet! Uhhh, it smells so bad like years and years of spilled drinks combined with dirty old socks or something. We always ask to ...

This is absolutely the best mexican food in town! The atmosphere, the margs and the chips and salsa are GREAT! Chicken burrito w/green chili is my personal favorite entree. Consistently good every time. Go early (between 4;30 and 5:15) to get a seat right away. Usually a long wait after 6:00pm.

Margs are awesome.....strong too....if you drink a couple before you eat, food's not half bad. I would give the food a "C" at best.
I guess if you want a marg, this is known as the place to get it but the food is beyond horrible. Anyone who says differently is related to the owner. You wanna drink margs and hang, fine, but don't pretend this place is an actual Mexican restaurant.
I have gone to the Rio literally hundreds of times, and have been satisfied every time! When it's summer time, the patio is the best in Fort Collins, complete with a huge fountain and plenty of tables. Most of the time I order the burrito de pollo (LOTS of chicken and jack cheese) with their outstanding green chili and I can't say enough ...
Twice I've gone to the Rio Grande with Grande expectations (I know, groan), and have been tremendously disappointed. The first time I wasn't of legal drinking age, so alcohol had no influence on my opinion. It took more than 20 minutes to get a seat at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon, a little long for a first timer. My date and I were ...
love the strawberry light frozen margs. not too sweet and not too tart. lunch time minis are only $2! a great place to go for lunch.

This is a good place to go for margaritas...they are tasty and STRONG!!! Their food is good and reasonably priced, too. Careful, depending on when you go, you could be waiting a _LONG_ time!
