Tried to go a few weekends ago, and the place is closed down now! What a shame.

Love this place! The great thing about San Marcos is the unique places to eat--and Rivendell's does not disappoint. My fave are the elf rolls. The rolls are homemade and to die for. If you are a person who likes unique, good, fresh, homemade food--you gotta try this place out. Yes it is a hippie haven, but those hippies know how to make some darn good food!

This is hippie heaven and a child's paradise. Fantastic veggie menu plus excellent sandwiches for the carnivore and smoothies to die for (especially peach when available). If being unique is wrong this place is criminally peerless. Not for the Mickey D crowd, but the cure for them. Perfect for a birthday party for kids of any age. In a cookie ...

My favorite place to eat in San Marcos. Great vegetarian dishes, plus some for the carnivore. Great prices. I had a baby shower here and they made me an awesome chocolate cake. Great ambience ("forests" and water feature), great for visiting while you eat. Great place to take kids, b/c they have a train table and toys for kids to play at while you wait for your food.

WEIRD place filled with fake trees and a strange environment. Its a cross between hippie heaven and lord of the rings. The menu has almost nothing but salads and a couple of sandwiches. Our waitress looked like an elf...but a HOT elf
