This is a cute out-of-the-way restaurant, tucked back behind Main Street in Buda, Texas. The front of the building doesn't look like a restaurant so we didn't recognize it at first but if you go around back it looks more like a restaurant. The margaritas weren't very strong but the food was great and the employees were very friendly.

The BEST, every single one of our friends can be seen here any day of the week because I have yet to meet anyone who dislikes it. The breakfast tacos are so good no other breakfast taco will beat it! Everything is amazing try the beef fajitas if your ever in town.

I stayed in Austin for 4 months and I try a lot of places...and the conclusion is simple: "Is the best".

Strongly recommend: Tacos of Barbacoa (is the real taste of the Mexican Barbacoa), Quesadillas and the ice tea of course.
Ask for the spicy salsa for your nachos ;).

Not only is the food outstanding but the service is always wonderful.Chavelo himself greets every customer with a smile,the waitstaff is very friendly,and Chavelo will even take a special order for ceviche if I call in advance.I love eating at Chavelos

heck yes the food there is awesome and pretty darn good. its an awesome restaurant. BEATS all the other Mexican restaurants.
