I love this place...though I haven't been there in a while. I used to always go with my grandma when I was a little girl. Food was always good and fresh.

When in San Antonio it is a very nice stop for lunch outside on the Riverwalk. Price, service, and quality are all good and did I mention it is located on the Riverwalk? :)

Best Enchiladas in the City, on the riverwalk...nice evening setting for a reasonable price

The atmosphere on the patio was nice, the service OK and the margaritas were great. But this is the worst Mexican food my family and I have ever had. The chips are too thick, the flavors were totally bland, and all of the items on the plate are covered in refried beans. Go for a drink, but skip the food!

The food isn't bad,
but you can go to better places anywhere in the city
and have some real Mexican food.

and it is located with the riverwalk right in back,

Nothing special... certainly not worth the price! "Chips y queso".. is quite literally chips with a ton of cheddar cheese piled on top. Like something you make at home when you are low on groceries and have the munchies.. not worth the price.

Tacos were okay, but pricey. Service was EXCELLENT though. I actually prefer the tacos ...

When I lived in San Antonio I would always go and eat at the Mexican Manhattan. When I was expecting my first baby I'd go every week, had a hankering for good mexican food. After moving and being 200 miles from San Antonio I still would go and visit my sons and we'd just end up eating somewhere else. I was there last week and I was asked ...

Im sad that this place is rated so highly by people. I do realize that is only Tex-Mex and not real Mexican food but it still was horrible to me. I went with a friend when I was last there and he couldn't even finish his food because he thought it was so bad. Later that day I was sick to my stomache for the rest of the day because of the food.
I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Do not read the tourist magazines, they will lead you to the wrong place for Tex-Mex. Mexican Manhattan is the place to go for Tex-Mex on the riverwalk.
