We've never had less than an exceptional dining experience here. The decor, especially during the holiday season, is worth a visit, and the outside dining has great views of the river. The best tuna fillet I've ever had. THE place to take visitors.

Good food, great atmosphere. There is alot of outdoor seating that overlooks the river. It can get busy, and the wait can be long, but its worth it.

When visiting Gruene or New Braunfels you must try the Gristmill. Make plans to wait a while on a busy Friday or Saturday night though. Do not order an appetizer while waiting in the bar/patio area the waitresses are very rude when you do that! While the setting is beautiful, it's dirty and hot. The hostess acted like she was doing us a favor by seating us. The food was below par for what they charge. A great place if you like good food and the outdoor dining experience. The patio view of the Guadalupe River is lovely and if you are looking for a romantic spot, a late night dinner is just the thing. I love it!
