If your in your 20's and early 30's new San Juan is the place. full of music and dance clubs. If you know a Puerto Rican in your area ask for advice for good places. Like anyother tourist place there good bargains to be found just got to do your homework, and unlike mexico the cops are very glad to help. Just be aware it can get expensive ...
We went last month for 10 days. Stayed at Intercontinental. Very nice. Great beach. Make sure you take a snorkeling tour. That was our highlight. Bring lots of money. Resteraunt are super high. My wife and I spent $150+ for any nice meals. It was a nice trip, but we could have gone to Hawaii for the same money. Round trip for 10 days, total cost was almost $6000.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/08
This hotel has absolutely no amenities! The hallway to our room smelled musty. The air conditioning was horrible...it was icy cold or too hot in the room. You had to pay a certain rate to get the $8.95 continental breakfast. There is no coffee in the rooms. So our friend went to the lobby to see if he could get a cup of coffee. They told him ...

As someone who lived and studied in San Juan, I can tell you that it is a great place to visit. Be prepared for friendly people and great beaches, however the hotels are always overpriced.
If you have more than a weekend, I highly recommend renting a car or taking a Publico bus (terminal is located in the Rio Piedras neighborhood of San Juan) ...

Beautiful Old San Juan
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/09/08
I went to Puerto Rico two weeks ago. Old San Juan is really beautiful. I love the old colonial spanish architecture painted with pastel colors. I went during Christmas and the city looks really beautiful. I live in New Jersey and I have to admit that Jersey does not have anything that can beat the beauty of Old San Juan. Old San Juan Rocks!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH I COULD GO BACK!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/07
When you first go to Puerto Rico, there are two sides of Puerto Rico (the city), The old San Juan and The New San Juan. It is so beautiful. You must also go to El Morro, it is full of history and it can take half a day. In front of El Morro, there is a probably half a mile of fresh green grass where is quite windy (all the time) so you MUST bring a ...
I loved the beaches, and open air restaurants lining the ocean. The views of the beaches, ocean, fish, birds and other wildlife were fantastic! Just walking around San Juan from my hotel was as calming and enjoyable as a nice breeze off the ocean.
I stayed at the Condado Plaza Casino and Hotel. Renovations were taking place during my stay, ...
