Overcrowded, dirty, noisy, with very contaminated air and water. Don't go to Lima if you have respiratory problems...you will end up in the hospital. I have lived in Lima for the past 10 months, and it is AWFUL. I live in Surco, which is supposed to be one of the nicest districts of this wretched city. Forget it...a "nice" ...

I LOVE LIMA. It's attractive city. The mix of lifestyles and peoples is a fascinating world of its own: from the snappy, sassy, cocaine influenced criolla style – all big, fast American cars, cruising the broad main streets – to the easy-going, happy-go-lucky attitude that can seem a godsend when you’re trying to get through ...
The Golden Nugget of seafood restaurants. I have traveled the world extensively several times over and must confess that El Buzo is simply the best all around seafood restaurant that I have ever had the experience to eat in. Owners Alvaro and Rosario Martinez take great care in ensuring that only the best quality and fresh ingredients make it ...
Was very pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see and do. The people are wonderful, friendly and happy. The city has many different sections to explore, not just the obvious. The dollar was actually worth something, which made it even more enjoyable. While it is the driest city in the world, (no rain) it is full of flowers, and very, very clean. No litter, people take pride.

Amazing City! Loads of Fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/08
The nightlife, the people, the food, pretty much everything!
Lima is a wonderful city to visit. I have been there 3 times and can't wait to go back. My wife is from there so I have my own translator at all times. You can find great food, museums, night life, shopping and the greatest people. If you go to Lima make sure to visit the cathederals, the Inka market and Wong (supermarket). You can also find ...
If you only have one day in Lima you should definitely visit Museo Larco. They have a collection of Ancient Erotic pottery from several thousand years ago. It's unlike anything you've ever seen in Peru. They also have a very nice restaurant, Cafe del Museo. www.museolarco.org
Also, dont miss the Plaza de Armas, Huaca Pucllana, and Barrio Chino which are also interesting parts of this enormous city.

First of all I would like to make a comment about the person who wrote the review "nothing especial". You obviously do not know what you are talking about. First thing, learn how to spell and write properly, I would if I was writing something for everyone to see. Second, Lima is a city in South America, it has a colonial style and full ...

nothing especial

Lima is not a modern place, they are far away in technology or convinience. There markets, comunications, transportation, cars are like Cuban. You can see all kind of all stuff around. They still have there own brands, with very poor quality but very nacionalistic. The city is very populated and the weather is miserable. The food is amazing and is ...
