Wayki trek was our tour company & they ROCK!!! Jose Condor was our guide he has a lot of knowledge about his culture, very respectful, professional and must of all patience! The porters Elias, Eladio etc.(11 in total) made our trip very comfortable and the food was AMAZING!! There were seven of us in our group (they don't do more than 8 ...
Cusco is the launching pad for trips to Machu Picchu and they are lovely hosts! We were so worried about traveling to Peru and when we arrived in Cusco we felt silly for ever entertaining those thoughts! The people here are so nice, so helpful and so beautiful. Seriously, there are so many pretty people in this city! Since you need to stay here ...
Incredible, incredible, incredible !!! Everything was amazing and wonderfull. First the early morning flight from Lima, con mi amorcita, looking over the Andes Mtns. was spectacular. Then arriving in Cusco, the culture, the views, the food, and just the feel were excelent. I would recommend the different tours, and doing some research about the ...
The setting at 3000m above sea level creates an impressive setting for a city. The inca stonework and design is also incredible, and of course one must hike the Inca Trail, culminating in the great wonders of the world, Macchu Picchu. Do some training though before you embark on this hike, especially if you don't hire porters. I still think ...
the landing on a clear day was unreal/great view of the old city. People helpful, food ok and cheap. The German (Frieda's)facility up the hill was above average(food/service/decor). The 4 day Inca trail trek speaks for itself as well as the fun train ride back to Cusco from MP. PunkiRumi Hotel a great *** hotel and the owner Anibel (like ...

Fabulous Holiday

The nightlife is great, but my recommendation would be to do your hike first and party on the return trip. Though this is a main tourist stop, you can still find great values and an unspoiled quality in the area. If looking for a budget room, make sure to ask to see the rooms and bathrooms before reserving - quality may vary greatly even within the same price range.

Many of the streets in the city center are lined with buildings containing whole parts of ancient Inca walls. The streets are often stepped, narrow and crowded and probably don't look that different from those in ...
My wife couldn't stand the food but other than that, this was a very nice town to visit. Get used to little kids peddling their wares. People are wonderful and the atmosphere is incredible. It does help to know Spanish.
That short review calling Cusco "spooky" is hilarious! Did you actually go to Cusco? What an amazing city. While it has it's touristy side, it's loaded with layers of historic splendor beyond compare. It has a nightlife to some degree, if that's all you are looking for. But if that's your primary goal, the only place for ...
