The only concern is safety, but if you don't go where you're not supposed to go, and you are not too flashy this is definetly a place with many many things to offer. From gold museum and the candelaria zone, to La Zona Rosa, Bogot

I loved absolutely everything about Colombian cities Bogota & "Las Tres Perlas" that I've visited this past Summer. Honestly, I can't wait to go back. With respect to safety issues, everything was much calmer than described, and I did not feel unsafe or threatened whatsoever.
