Christchurch is definitely clean. Kodak moments every where you look or take pictures. Akaroa is a paradise , I can stay there all my life. Would definitely go back very soon. Even though is kinda expensive to fly from LA, but worth every penny:)

Quality of life in the UK can't compare to NZ. I don't remember feeling unsafe at any point in our one month trip to NZ. Living in the UK, ...

This is one of the best kept secrets in the world. A visit to Christchurch in January will prove to be one of your most rewarding trips ever. There is so much to see and do in the area. Get to know the locals and they will open your eyes to what is around this city.
If you have camping equipment then make sure you go to the meatworks by ...
I stopped in Christchurch on the way to Oz just to visit a friend and enjoyed myself so much that I am going back again this year. The Cathedral, the Arts Centre, and the Canterbury Museum are all worth the visit. The Arts Centre is not at all what it sounds like. They have a commons area where people picnic or buy a kebab while they listen to ...

We took the TranzAlpine train from the west side of the island into Christchurch - a 5-star journey in itself. Christchurch has a strong British feel to it (more so than many of the other large cities in New Zealand); unfortunately, the prices there seemed more along the lines of what one would expect in Britain as well.
Prices aside, the city ...
