Auckland is a small city that you can get lost in. The sounds and the beat is small and slow. I enjoyed St.Heleliers bay Sipping a drink and taking a dip.
Venture into the back country and get lost in the feeling of escape at Kawakawa Bay.

I arrived here from a very long flight from Ireland, I was impressed with devonport and the sky tower, However the city was very ordinary compare to other parts of new zealand which were amazing, it didn't have the nice surrounding of wellington or the character of chrischurch, overall it was a good city for a few days

Auckland is the gateway to new zealand and I was not expecting new zealand to have such a modern and vibrant city. If you know where your going you can have the best night out.
Its also really safe. There upgrading the main road in the CBD at the moment called queen street so that causes some delays but it promises to look outstanding once ...

It reminded me of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was compact, people were friendly and despite the big city feel it was also homely and we found friendly restaurants and nice people during our stay. There are lovely spots, great views (make sure you go up the Tower!) and the traffic isn't all that bad. (It is in spots though!) It's a pity all the other New Zealanders don't like Aucklanders!

Rained most of the time we where there.There is nothing to do in this place except watch the dull boring sea and the rain that falls on it.The night life is non existant,went to ponsonby ...what a pretentious place and so expensive,I don't know what they are pretentious about they don't have much.

The people reminded me of the hobbits in Lord of the rings...somehow.I would not go back to New Zealand if you payed me.

Auckland is a perfect place for travel! Beautiful beaches, kiwi, rich culture, one tree hills, volcano,food...A really safe city with nice view and friendly people!! Good place for sailing !
