Too crazy, the traffic goes at it's own accord. Chaotic. Melbourne was way better. More to see and do and much more cleaner.

It has everything -- big city excitement, great beaches, fantastic weather, friendly people. It may not be "on the way' to any other destination, but it is absolutely worth the trip. Stay for at least 3 weeks.

Sydney is a fantastic city - with great open spaces, green areas, a fabulous beach and great shopping. I wouldn't say it was a romantic place though. It's a great place to go with family or friends. (I can think of a hundred more romantic places to visit in the world1)

For me, the best activities in Sydney are, relaxing on Bondi Beach ...

Greatest place on earth (next to melbourne of course). The Harbour Bridge is the most spectactular bridge and the opera house is the most amazing building. The walk around the beaches provides the best atmosphere.

I like the natural beauty which excists within and outskirts of the city.
The weather is great because its in southern hemisphere and I enjoy my winters in Summer at Sydney in December.

Blue mountains and vineyards near Sydney are awesome and MUST go places where one can get free drinks as well.

Transportation system is great and all ...

Sydney is a neat city, but not particulary romantic. Be sure and take a day trip to go out and see the Kangaroos and Koala bears.

As an Australian .....Sydney is definatley the most beautiful of Australian citys.

If you get a chance to stay by the harbor...we stayed at the ANA and had a corner room over looking the bridge and harbor,its truly stunning.

Taking the ferry and going to Watsons Bay eating at the famous Doyels fish cafe is so picture perfect,quite expensive ...

Went to Sydney for 4 days while on a 22 day tour. The city is very easy to navigate and there are plenty of amazing places to go walking-especially when you need something to do to pass the time while you adjust to the jet lag! Very safe to walk around alone with your iPod.

Been to Sydney twice, rained both times. Very lively, international city with an amazing bay. Like Seattle with an accent. Very worth spending two/three days if you`re also getting outside of Sydney and seeing other parts of Oz, otherwise you can get more for your dollar elsewhere.
