Melbourne...a fantastic city during the 2006 Commonwealth Games, why did it not stay that way??? I recently visited for a weekend this year after not having been to Melbourne for over 3 years. I came to Melbourne with high expectations as I had been overly impressed when I visited for the Commonwealth Games, however moments after leaving the train ...

Hands down the best city in Australia. The ethnic diversity is vast, great shopping exists, and there are numerous leisure activites. Great for student overseas who wish to study in Melbourne as this city has the fourth largest number of international students in the world. Yes, yes, lovely place to live too.
