  • Not for traditional city lovers
    By Moulitsas, 08/06/09
Brisbane is blessed with warm winter temps, that much is for sure. But the place is undeniably not for people who love walking, exploring, getting lost in and really experiencing unique neighborhoods and places.

Like any bigger city, the place has its share of good shops, cafes and food but unlike the great cities (like Berlin, New York, Tokyo, ...

  • Brisbane, come here and never forget it!
I have been living in Brisbane for more than one year. The feeling I have after that long time is that Brisbane is great.

As an international student, I worry about living expenses the most. However, living expenses in Brisbane are quite tolerant. If you are from Asia, don't panic if you cannot stand Western food. There are a lot of Asian ...

Beach wise, has some excellent beach there, and awsome sights to see. But unless u are loaded on cash, u won't get far on just a lil bit of money there. Night life there is very cool, go to a club called Family, place if very big.

  • I like Brisbane very much!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/06
Australia is a very beautiful country. Though I haven’t been there before, Australia is the place that I most want to visit. Among the so many beautiful cities, I like Brisbane very much.
As we known, Brisbane is Australia's third largest city and the state capital of Queensland. Not so long ago, the rest of Australia considered it little ...

  • A Boutique City in the Sunshine State
    By HAT ♥ HAQ, 05/25/06
I went up there from Sydney to visit a friend and never thought the city would turn out to be the most unique Australian city I would have ever been to. I love the size of the city: large enough to be the economic and cultural heart of a whole State, yet small enough to save it from old and crusty industrial areas and slums (or have I simply not ...

  • Sunshine Coast - just 1 hour north
    By Danii, 03/16/06
I live in inner Brisbane city and its a great place but most overseas travellers hear of Surfers Paradise and Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef but not the Sunshine Coast... Just 1 hour north of Brisbane with best beaches in the world (well not if you want flat calm water but if you like SURF! and white sand and hotties!) So head up the Coast while you are here.. you'll love it!

  • We shall return!
    By jE@NnIe, 01/02/06
My first stop in Australia was Queensland, and the capital city of Queensland is Brisbane. Together with my brother-in-law's family, Colin and I had a wonderful time, the sun was bright, the air was fresh, the place was clean...and ohhh the tall buildings, the parks and the bridges. The place is so beautiful, it's more than I thought it would be. It was like in movies, but this one was for real. Someday, we shall return.
