This place is a first class dump!! It is absolutely the most dirty, disgusting hotel I have ever seen. Paint peeling off the walls in the rooms, smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling by wires. The hallway we had to walk back looked like it had not been vacuumed in quite some time. Ice machine had white stuff running down the side of it ...
The toilet backed up and I couldn't get an answer from the front desk. When I went downstairs and called for the desk clerk and explained the situation he looked confused and then said 'do you want a plunger'? Excuse me. The fellow who came up to repair said toilet looked anything but a hotel employee. He was wearing a do rag and ...

Richmond's biggest advantage is it's location: smack dab in the middle of Virginia, you're pretty much an hour or two away from anywhere you'd want to go. DC, the beach, mountains, whatever.
Not only that, crime has plummeted in the past year, and baby boomers are moving back to the city and getting the riverfront moving again. ...
I spent a great deal of my life all over VA. I've never been impressed with Richmond. I've only ever gone there to visit friends and have no desire to go for any reason. the city's crime problem is starting to get dangerously out of hand. If you go you may be able to make a weekend out of it, but don't expect it to change your life.

Richmond Rocks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/06
Richmond is the best place to live in the world. There are lots of things to do. The most fun thing to do is to hang out at the local JCC.
Well my best friend and I went to see my sister at the end of August last year. We had such a good time. I really liked Richmond a lot, really nice city. We stayed with my uncle so I don't have any recommendations for hotels; but as far as food goes I would have to recommend the Strawberry Street Cafe, it was kind of difficult to find but ...

Business trip was fine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/06
The Rodeway Inn in Richmond was not appropriate for a business traveler. No phone - no internet - no food available on site. My package deal (air and hotel) was priced lower than the air fare alone so I booked it - and ended up staying one night at the Rodeway and two other nights at the Omni Downtown (booked through Priceline). The Omni was ...

Richmond Rox!!!!

I like smoking. I like that you can smoke anywhere in Richmond. Its great! Everyone who smokes should visit the last bastian of tolerance in America. And Richmond people are so nice, bless their hearts.
Being in Richmond is like stepping into a page of a high school history book. Its a town that figured prominently in the civil war chapter of our nation's past. Richmond was in fact the seat of the South's confederacy and its White house museum harkens to that era. At present time, walking around town you can still feel a sense of what the ...
History, History and more History! I love how you can get to the mountains and the ocean in the same day if you want. Downfalls are that it is becoming overpopulated to fast and too much liter! The liter detracts from the beautiful state and wonderful historical sites.
