Ok, I haven't lived in that many places. However, I have never been so anxious to leave a place. I have been here almost a year and want nothing more to leave! I would if I could... really! I'm sick of the horrible traffic, the rude people, the overpriced and lackluster food, the equally overpriced concerts... the list goes on and on. This ...

i never knew so many people talk bad about a city only by a visit, and think they know it all.dallas is a big city like any other city just doesn't have the natual beauty like others. just because you from nyc, chicago,or san francisco.doesn't mean you can judge a city just off negativity and whats up with people thinking texas is full of redneck hicks they actually believe that crap on t.v. i just don't get it

One big lame strip mall
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/09
Dallas is just one big strip mall full of stores full of crap from china. I'm stuck here for a biz trip and I'm dreading it. Especially since I was in portland or last week and it is just an amazing city. I think they ought to bulldoze the whole of dallas and plant some trees in it's place. If you have to go to texas San Antonio is a much nicer place and has some character. Dallas SUCKS!

Alright, I love Dallas. It's a part of my soul and I don't think I'll ever be impartial when describing it, but I'll try. For comparison's sake, I'll tell you what cities I have experience with. I was born in France near Nice, lived an hour from Rome for about 4 years, I've been in every country in Western Europe ...
Dallas is truly the most pathetic excuse for a city ever. It landscape consists of strip malls with blips of random cow fields LITERALLY. Sprawl is king here. Lackluster landscape, mediocre food, bad shopping, horrid weather--its either icing or over 100, backwards attitudes where the common misconception that its great here(perhaps the entire state has Stockholm syndrome?)...need I go on?

I get so tired of the whole "if you get bored, you're a boring person" argument. I'm not a boring person, I can always find ways to entertain myself. Having said that, I wouldn't for the life of me live in Dallas. It's way too bland and dry for my tastes. I've had fun visiting the city, but for long term living I ...

Do not listen to these close minded Reviews. Dallas is just another city in Texas. Any person can have a good time anywhere, if they choose too. If you go into a town and you find it boring then most likely its you that's boring. I guaranteed you people in the south are 50 X nicer than anywhere else in the US. Lets not forget higher ...

Ugh!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/09
I've lived in several large cities throughout my life, and Dallas truly is just a huge urban sprawl of nothingness. Sure, there might be something cool to do if you're willing to drive 2 hours in bumper-to-bumper (ANGRY) traffic to get there. The day I get out of this city, I will never look back nor will I come back. In general, ...
