I've been living in Nashville for the past half a year. Yes, the climate is nice, and yes it is quite clean compared to other southern cities, and yes, the infrastructure is pretty good even compared to more civilized places up north. I do hate the customer service here - and the very poor understanding of its basic principles by the locals. ...
Lived there for 20 years and miss it terribly. Now visit every chance I get. Unlike where I am now (Triangle of NC) Nashville has soul and a variety of characters, opinions, and viewpoints among it's population. The Hillsboro Village area is laid back, artsy, and ultra cool. Great dining in the Green Hills area, but check with the locals for the newest best places to eat. Check nashscene.com too.
Having grown up here my whole life I to am a little shocked by some of the reviews. So for the non country music fans or those sick of chain everythings, I hope this helps. Go see - Centennial Park, Nashville is called the Athens of the south I'll leave the rest to be explored. - Opryland hotel especially around ...
Spent 3 nights in Nashville last year and plan to go back for 6 this year. I was never a huge country music fan but this place converted me. The honky tonks on Broadway are a blast, live music nightly with no covers. The food was average (nothing outstanding that's for sure). Country Music Hall of Fame was a lot better than I had expected it to ...
I visited Nashville once when I was younger, and once last year. It'a a beautiful place with awesome sights and friendly bars. The houses are pretty in most places are very nice. From what I've heard they're decently priced, as well.

Went to school in Nashville

I went to school in Nashville (Vanderbilt) and ended living here another couple years after graduating. I've been to a whole bunch a cities and there are those that are bigger, more spectacular, and have more attractions. But Nashville isn't bad at all. There is a very homey and friendly feel to this place. It's not gigantic, but ...

Gaylord Tratment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/05/07
We booked our trip through Greyline to stay at the Gaylord Opryland hotel. The hotel was very nice but the employees of the hotel treated us like step children once they new we were booked with Greyline. If Gaylord is going to allow others to book reservations for them, then the visitors should be treated with respect.
This is a wonderful place, we have visited NASHVILLE a lot. The shopping down town is A+ and there is sooooo Much to do. You sure can't get bored in this town. There are all kinds of clubs to choose from and believe me if you have a husband like mine you will be up all night visiting all on the down town clubs. This is such a fun town!!

Nice time in Nashville
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/07
I didn't do much when I was in Nashville. I took care of some personal business while staying in Antioch. If it's your first visit I recommend a GPS system. Atmosphere is laid back and casual. No real traffic problems. I had a good time.
