I have heard people going ga-ga over Hershey park and the chocolate tour. I planned mini vacation with my young kids and as a dad's day gift to my husband. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed with Hershey park. May be I expected more, or may be my trip to Orlando set the bar quite high, but I wasnt greatly impressed. Sea world or six ...

A local perspective

I live 15 minutes from Hershey. It's a very nice town and very well kept. The park is impeccable regarding family atmosphere, cleanliness and safety. My only complaint, and it's not severe, is anything associated with Hershey can be on the pricey side. From parking to admission to concessions, the prices seem to be inflated. The ...

A fun trip!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/08
It's a corny expression but I'll use it anyway. There is something for everyone. Every major attraction is easily accessible. Roads and highways are laid out to find everything easily and traffic is no problem. Plenty of signs helping you along. Plenty of places to stay withing minutes of attractions. Would recommend the Hershey Lodge. A great day trip, weekend,or week vacation for families or couples.
I grow up in Northeastern Pa and always remember going to Hershey as kids. Been out of the area for over 10 years. My wife and I decide to take a trip to visit were I grow up and Hershey was on the list. It was alot of fun and it always was great and the prices were great. The one plus of the park was they added a water park that was great. Lines ...
My boyfriend and I drove about 5 and a half hours from Cleveland Oh, just to have a quick 2 day get away. (We have no kids). We had a phenomonal time- I would recomend for everyone to go to the Chocolate factory on a weekday- much less kids, lines to take the free tour much less shorter and you can manuver the chocolate store without saying excuse ...

One of my fondest childhood memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/06/06
I grew up in Pennsylvania and one of my fondest childhood memories were summer-time trips to Hershey Park.
I remember the first time I went there and rolled down the car window as we were getting close. The air is thick with the smell of rich, fresh chocolate.
I've heard others on this site describe Hershey as heavan on earth for chocolate lovers. Amen to that!
Hershey was wonderful. We went to Hershey Park on a Saturday. It was very crowded and it was a little expensive, but we had a great time. We stayed in a hotel in Reading. They have great shopping there. we also went to Chocolate World. They have all this candy that you can purchase. It was a little expensive too, but the big bars of chocolate was well worth it!
I'm a chocoholic, so going to Hershey was like heaven. The park was amazing, but it wasn't THAT clean. The museum was VERY interesting, and chocolate world was GREAT. The trolley ride, tour ride, and 3-D show are a must see, plus you get free chocolate. When you drive in downtown Hershey, by the factory, if you roll down your window if ...

Hershy...a great place to vacate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/06
As a Hershey resident myself(for a year and half now) i have only good things to say about this small yet extraordinary town. Not only the chocolate is amazing(which of course we cannot ignore)but the general atmosphere and the people and basically everything. The weather is absolutly amazing, unlike L.A and other cities across the U.S that have ...
Every chocohaolic MUST visit Hershey, PA once in their lifetime. There is nothing like opening your car door and being consumed by the smell of chocolate. If heaven on earth exsists, this is my place to die! On the flip side, you don't have to be a chocohaolic to enjoy this area. There was a lot to do, for every age group. There is the amusement park, outlet mall shopping, etc. Lots of fun!!
