This is a nice city, but it needs some changes at this point since it has outgrown itself. They need a light rail system or some transportation other than buses. I-71 needs major changes since it is backed up with traffic 75% of the time. Parts of the city are terrible and crime ridden as with any large city. The suburbs are nice. If you like ...
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A PLACE THAT CAN HAVE 1 STREET THAT IS FINE THEN THE NEXT IS A GHETTO. I WAS TOLD COLUMBUS POPULATION IS HIGH AND THEY DIDN'T WANT ANYONE MORE FROM OUT OF STATE THERE. THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS HAVE FAILING TEST SCORES. I'M FROM A STATE THAT HAS THE HIGHEST TEST SCORES IN THE US AND TO COME TO COLUMBUS WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME.
I attend the Longaberger Basket convention in Columbus each summer, the town is very workable, all of my time is spent at the convention center, Nationwide Arena or Newark at the Longaberger basket co Thanks:)
Columbus is a wonderful family town for visiting. There is definetly plenty to do. I haven't lived there in some time but it seems that the town has grown tremendously. There is something to do for everyone and if you are staying on the North or East side of town convenience is not an issue.
Columbus, is a city with an identity crisis. It's the biggest small-town I know of. Based on square miles, Columbus is the biggest city in America, yet ironically it has very little "big city" feel.
The area Columbus seems to excel at is night life, with tons of interesting bars and night clubs, so if you're into that scene, ...

If you live in the 'burbs, drive everywhere, and rock a fanny pack, you will like Columbus. If you also enjoy Ohio State football, you will love it. If you like robust cities with public transit and culture...not so much.
I grew up in Columbus and after great trial and much error, I have managed to find some things that I like: * ...

Cols is a nice city to visit!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/06
I really like the city, but I find it is not very diversified as I would like. I feel Columbus is lacking in arts and culture, but these are areas that I have seen improvement in over the years. Columbus has a lot of nice small districts filled with lots of charm (German Village, Victorian Village, Short North and Italian Village.) There is always ...
This is the perfect place to live! Better than Hawaii AND Paris! I really love it, and hope all of the United States of America has a FULL DAY to experience the ENTIRE city!

And I have to stay???
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
I am in Columbus because of my job! THAT is the only reason I am here and the only reason I am staying.
We came from out of state and we quickly realized that if you are NOT from Columbus, then you are NOT welcome here at all. These are the rudest people we have ever met and I can't possibly admit to being a Columbus citizen. We went ...
