Not the same as a decade agoI visited New York in 2000 and was really impressed. Just like I'd pictured it. However, I went back in 2007 and I felt it wasn't so exciting...the absence of the mammoth Twin Towers made it feel kind of empty and people were rude...something I hadn't really encountered before.Was this review helpful? What happend to all the black people?New York looked much better in the 70s and 80s with all the black people with all their turntables, boomboxes all the grafitti and of course...Tina Turner. Now with too many rich white snobs it's become a complete tourist trap. Please bring back more black people (and the Twin Towers) and New York will be much better town.Was this review helpful? Great place!!!Just spent a couple of days in NYC with the family. I would highy recommed the Hampton Inn on 35th. It 's centrally located w/i walking distance to all the attractions in Mid-town. The best place ever!Everything you could possibly want and only a subway ride away! NYC has so much to do, anything you want to eat, and at anytime of the day. New York City at ChristmasI like the restaurants they were very good.You do not have to worry about transpertation there are subways and thousands of taxis every street.If you are use to a lot of people it is the right place for you.I think it was worth the money for the food and hotels.Was this review helpful? No rent apt in 312 West 48 / 8 ave New York cityWe rent this apt in Nyc and we had a terrible experience : we paied 3500 $ for a week and we found the house dirty , the bathroom obstructed , no towels , the washing machine broken , the linen already utilized by someone else (!!!!) , but the very big problem was a continuous and incredible noise coming from the radiators which were not regular. ...Was this review helpful?
