WE went during the summer, and are from beautiful Arizona so maybe that is why we werent as impressed by the views. The people were very friendly, and warm which was wonderful but in all honesty we just couldnt find much to do. Found one good restaurant. We had rented a house, and it had a lot of amenities posted in the listing that turned out to ...
The entire town is stunning, with the mountains, trees, adobe buildings, unique cuisines. The only drawback is that Toas rolls up the sidewalks at 5:00 p.m. All of the museums and shops are closed by 5:00 without exception. Many of them close earlier. There is no shortage of culture in Toas, just plan to arrive early and forget about any notion of wild night. Relax and enjoy the southwest. There's no rushing allowed.

The skiing is top notch.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/05
The skiing terain caters to the average to above average skiier. This is not a good place to take a beginner. The downside to skiing here as opposed to the Colorado resorts is that you don't have the other big resorts around you to try. But, if you don't mind skiing at one place for the duration of your trip, you can't beat Taos. ...
Last time i was there was 1998...i'm looking forward to coming again...I'm sure it's changed a bit. I really love the ski area where we did a lot of hiking
I highly recommend a trip to the Taos Pueblo. Pay the fee for a camera, you'll want to remember it. The Native artisans are very talented. We ate in one of their homes for a small price. Very neat cultural experience for my girlfriend's 5yr old. For all 3 of us really.

Wife and I visted here for a day or two on our travels thru the southwest. It was very comfortable even in July. We visted the old towns square and many of its shops. All the locals were very freindly. One of the most enjoyable things we did here was a tour of taos pueblo. It was just like you step back in time a few centuries. Would like to stop ...

Taos is Incredible - Value, Lots to Do, Relaxing and Beautiful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/05
Taos has incredible history, culture, outdoor adventure, spiritual pursuits, spas, Southwest architecture, spectacular beauty/views, and great shopping, food and music. There seems an endless amount of things to do and see -- five museums, Taos Pueblo, The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, river rafting, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, llama ...
