  • high crime everywhere
This city has one of the worse crime profiles I have ever seen. For the population it is outrageous the number of crime that is committed. I did not feel safe going anywhere alone. I have visited major large cities in the US and many countries where my personal safety was not a concern.

All you hear on the news are about, rapes, murders, ...

Like: This is a wonderful cxxxxxxxity- lots of friendly people and interersting places to visit- I visited the Hispanic Center, Old Town and the Albuquerque Museum.
the resturants were diverse and incredible- especially the New Mexican resturants.
I spent a day going to Acoma Pueblop on the Mesa- which was outstanding.

Dislike:Public Transit needs imrovement- bus was always late every time I took it.

  • In love with Albuqueque, NM
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 05/08/07
My husband, son, his now fiance', and I just arrived home from 4 nights and 5 days in Albuqueque, New Mexico. I went for a conference but spent the afternoons and evenings enjoying all there was to see and do. Our best experience was sending our son and his now fiance' on a balloon ride with the "Private Balloon Flights". I ...

  • Spring Break - We want to go back!
By Mrs. Five Star General, 03/19/07
We enjoyed ourselves a great deal. The motel was in a Gret location and great price. Everything we needed was in walking distance. I would say research the motels online. There are better deals there and you don't have to deal with bad customer service. Once at the motel (Days Inn) sheck-In was easy. I told them I have a reservation and gave ...

  • Love this city!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/09/07
I love the people there and the atmosphere. I try to make trips there to visit family as much as possible. The weather is sunny year round with warm winters with temperatures in the 50's and 60's and hot long summers with temperatures in the 90's and 100's and hotter. I've been there in July a couple of times when it got up to ...

  • Looking forward to returning to this lovely city.
    By Mato, 01/14/07
Though we were snowbound during the first "monster snowstorm" of the season, with frigid temperatures, we found the people of Albuquerque to be warm and friendly. The city police departments and state patrol had their hands more than full but reacted with the utmost professionalism and courtsey.

  • NICE PLACE TO VISIT
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/31/06
Wife and I stopped here for a couple of days on our travels thru the southwest. Lots of friendly people here. We went to Old Town, which we enjoyed. Rode the tram up Sandia Peak for some breath taking views. Drove down central ave which is part of Historic Route 66. Plenty of things here to do if you need a place to stop and get off the road for a day or two.

  • Go to Tinkertown
When I first read about Tinkertown all I could think of was Tinker Toys and did not go because it sounded rinky dink....We got a recommendation from a tourist and went. It is truly amazing. A man devoted his life to building little models including a huge model circus. It is rustic and a step back in time. It is real hard to describe but go as ...
