My wife and I (from Boston) were planning to visit friends in Albuquerque during the 2009 Balloon Fiesta -- and so we made reservations with this company 6 months in advance for a ride for 4 of us to take place in the middle of the week of the Fiesta so we could see the hundreds of other ballons that were lifting off at the same time -- though 5 ...

Agree with post about crime problem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/09/08
It feels unsafe, way too much crime, did not find the people all that friendly spend your money elsewhere, this city is not worth it. A real shame, maybe a reflection of the dominant cultural influences from our neighbor down south. Good luck if you go.

high crime everywhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/08
This city has one of the worse crime profiles I have ever seen. For the population it is outrageous the number of crime that is committed. I did not feel safe going anywhere alone. I have visited major large cities in the US and many countries where my personal safety was not a concern.
All you hear on the news are about, rapes, murders, ...
Like: This is a wonderful cxxxxxxxity- lots of friendly people and interersting places to visit- I visited the Hispanic Center, Old Town and the Albuquerque Museum. the resturants were diverse and incredible- especially the New Mexican resturants. I spent a day going to Acoma Pueblop on the Mesa- which was outstanding.
Dislike:Public Transit needs imrovement- bus was always late every time I took it.

Hot Desert City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/07
I liked Albuquerque alot. It gets hot from May to October(90°-107° during those months). I realy like the natural beauty of the city. It a spread out city so it might take a while to get from one part of town to the other. There is a Downtown area and an Uptown area both with high rise buildings. I highly recomand taking a vacation to Albuquerque. If you ever deside to make sure to take sun screen any time of year(300+ days of sunshine a year.
We enjoyed ourselves a great deal. The motel was in a Gret location and great price. Everything we needed was in walking distance. I would say research the motels online. There are better deals there and you don't have to deal with bad customer service. Once at the motel (Days Inn) sheck-In was easy. I told them I have a reservation and gave ...

Love this city!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/07
I love the people there and the atmosphere. I try to make trips there to visit family as much as possible. The weather is sunny year round with warm winters with temperatures in the 50's and 60's and hot long summers with temperatures in the 90's and 100's and hotter. I've been there in July a couple of times when it got up to ...
Though we were snowbound during the first "monster snowstorm" of the season, with frigid temperatures, we found the people of Albuquerque to be warm and friendly. The city police departments and state patrol had their hands more than full but reacted with the utmost professionalism and courtsey.
