This city had a great and safe down town area it was also verey clean. I though this city was going to be boreing and found out this under rated city is great and people should hear about and its greatness. And if you do not visit it will be your lose. Becuase this city is great with its mountains, rivers, trees, and lakes. This city also has great malls and shoping centers. I think this fast growing city might soon be biger then los Angles.

Underated

Albuquerque is a great city to live in... Unless you live in certain small sections of the city, you never see crime. Older parts of the city are kind of trashy but the city is trying to revamp them and they are doing a really good job. The city is really beautiful, and the weather is the best on earth!

TRULY THE LAND OF ENCHANTMENT
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/16/05
Having lived in 6 different states & 8 different cities growing up, I have experienced many climates and a wide variety of scenery. None of those compare to Albuquerque's mild climate & breath taking scenery. Having lived in Albuquerque since 1973, I have seen the city grow & with that growth came changes both good & bad. The bad part for us ...

Albuquerque - Best in the West
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 11/29/05
I heard so much about Albuquerque & Santa Fe so I decided to visit these two cities for the first time. Santa Fe was way overpriced, everything too expensive & had too much "attitude". On the other hand Albuquerque had a lot more to offer. I stayed downtown at the Hyatt Hotel & was very impressed. Albuquerque is a modern city with all ...
First of all there is nothing quirky in Albuquerque!Except maybe the spelling. It was named after a bishop from Spain during their colonial era. Albuquerque is such a pretty town that its like being in one of the Disneyland parks,ie Frontierland. Taking a walking tour is one way to see the place at your own pace, tho we did one better. In town we ...

I WANNA MOVE
By Melodie W, 11/09/05
We spent almost 4 days in Albuquerque. The weather was wonderful. The view of the Sandia Mountains was breathtaking. We stayed at the Baymont Inn, the staff there was friendly and the rooms were ok for the money. Not somewhere to stay if you want luxury, but for a clean bed and a decent free breakfast with an accessible location it was nice. ...

A Different Experience
By exposrule2000, 10/30/05
I found this to be a laid back and easy to navigate large city. Even though it's big, it seemed that drivers have patience there, which is something that the majority of those in my home state of Florida need. Anyway, the Rattlesnake Museum, Old Town, and the Rio Grande Zoo are all must sees. If you aren't afraid of hights, do take a ride ...

Sites to see

I love looking at the city lights at night. The best time to be in Albuquerque is during the Balloon Festival. On a Sunday after watching the balloons you could go to old town and watch live re-enactments of the old west by the Nex Mexico Gunfighters assoc.
