Visited for my birthday recently and had the best time. One of my best vacations ever! The city was hospitable, interesting, and lots of fun. Hit the Strip a couple times, a blast! Red Rock Canyon was amazing and Mt. Charleston was beautiful. Vegas can be so much more than you'd expect! Nothing against the Strip, but I think to get the full ...

Vegas VIP
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/21/04
I was skeptikal about having a host take care of me for my trip but I am glad I did it. Received discounted room rates as well as VIP access into the nightclubs. He made reservations for dinner as well as limo service. Can't say enough about this guy. I have been to Vegas before but this last trip tops it all. Much appreciation to Ben Loewy of ValetNoir.

Awesome time!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/02/08
I loved Las Vegas!!! The hotel I lived in was called The Sahara. The service and rooms were the best. I loved the fact that on top of the hotel was a rollercoaster called Speed. It was very fast and went fast once it started, lol...
If you ever need somewhere to live or do to Sahara is pretty cool. Down stairs were the casinos and more. I went to Hard Rock Cafe and more places.
It was my best birthday present thus far!!!

FYI
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/23/07
I noticed the following during my stays in Vegas--and I've read others questioning the same:
Pools close at 7pm: ALL Las Vegas hotels close their pools at 7pm because they want you to go inside and spend your money!
No in room coffee makers: There are never any coffee makers in the rooms because they want you to get your coffee DOWNSTAIRS IN THE CASINO.
No matter where you go in LV, it's going to be the same everywhere.

vegas monorail
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/07/06
to access the monorail, one has to walk miles through casinos. There is NO convenient way to get to the monorail. It's quicker to walk from stop to stop, than to ride the monorail. By the time you get to the station, you're exhausted. It was infuriating. We felt like suckers purchasing monorail passes. Taxis would have been cheaper and more convenient.

Mandalay Bay Shark Reef

Very dissappointing, not worth the money. Dark, view not very clear. For a great variety of fish visit the aquarium at Ceasars Forum shops for free.

Day or night - Vegas is a perpetual themepark!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/26/05
Other than the fact that Las Vegas has 19 of the world's 20 largest hotels (i read this on an airline magazine once), the place is a perpetual themepark! The weather, if it isn't too humid, could be one of the most perfect, and if you are one who is not necessarily into casinos and gambling, the strip is still one of the best places to go ...

Once is not enough!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/06/05
First trip to Vegas in March of 2005 and my first impression was "It's cleaner than I thought!" I expected it to feel more like a big city and it didn't. It was economical, fun and easy to get around. We enjoyed some sights outside the city too, Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam, with the desert being a beautiful place to see. We ...

Heaven
By Tò he, 08/31/07
Las Vegas is the best city i've ever been to. The atmosphere and vitality is incredible, it's true this city does not sleep and that is what makes vegas so addicting you can go out 24/7 and you wouldn't be alone if you choose to be out at 3am. Pricing in vegas is also excellent buffet's, outlet shopping, car rentals, and hotels are ...
