The Great "BIG "O" "
By Nick O, 10/01/05
Omaha has a very friendly atmosphere and very convient local of major hotels. It's zoo is among one of the best in the country and has many indoor and outdoor exhibits so the weather is never a problem. There are many different restaurants to chose from and any taste bud can be satisfied. The "Old Market" area in downtown Omaha has a vary laid back feeling and with horse drawn carriage rides available it can be very romantic.

Stoped to see the LDS temple
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/26/05
We stopped in Omaha to see the LDS history. We went to the Winter Quarters museum, pioneer cemetary, and the temple. A lot of LDS history happened in Omaha. I learned a lot. It was very emotional to be at the pioneer cemetary.

Omaha was a great vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/26/05
For a real family trip, I recondmend going to Omaha. It was a cheap trip and there were lots of things to do. The best things to do there is go to the zoo, visit the water park, and shop in the old market place. The hotels there are very nice and very affordable.

More open-minded than I expected!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/21/05
Omaha has a thriving alternative community! 311 and Manhiem Steamroller both call this home. Malcom X was born here, and Warren Buffett has a house in Mid-town. The Pagan and Gay communities are very welcoming, and the local Unitarian Universalist Church is a historic landmark. I didn't expect the center of the mid-west to be so ...
