St. Louis clearly does not like mixed-race couples or familes. It is stuck in the 1950, intellecutally and culturally.

Whats wrong with you people? St. Louis is fine!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/09
St. Louis is a very nice city. I visited here on vacation in June and it is a very great city. Lot's of FREE museums, FREE Zoo, FREE Science Center. If a bunch of you people are sick of living in St. Louis, then why stay? The locals all seemed very nice down in the city. St. Louis is kind of segregated, north st. louis and south st. louis, but ...

I HATE ST LOUIS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/09
I've lived in St. Louis for the past 5 years and CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE!!!! I feel suffocated here. The people here can be very unfriendly and awkwardly uncommunicative. Not the place to move if you want to meet new people because no one that lives here seems to be open to that. St. Louis is VERY segregated so if visiting be aware of ...
Downtown St. Louis is neat because of the arch. The rest of the town is pretty much just factories and it's really polluted. Seems so-so on the saftey side. Wouldn't go with kids. Worth a drive through the city, but not worth a vacation.
I have lived in St. Louis all my life (still living here) and think overall it's great. Research before you visit. Very fun and lots to do.
I will start with the bad stuff -
Places to avoid - North St. Louis. Can be dangerous. Lots of shootings and drug dealers and gangs on the news every night. Try to avoid North St. Louis. Not counting ...

Direct from a Local Resident
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/09
This is straight from a local on STLToday.com, and as a two-year resident (to be completed at the end of the summer, thank God), I concur wholeheartedly. 1/29/09:
"I'm glad to see this is still the #1 most emailed story from this site. Hopefully the word is getting out about STDs in St. Louis and next year we won't be #1. St. Louis ...

I was raised in the suburbs of St Louis, and I currently live in New York's West Village. You might say I know a thing or two about great culture, restaurants, architecture, nightlife, etc, since I live among the best of it. The honest lowdown on St Louis is this: If you do your homework and have a good map, you'll see some genuinely ...

Good for kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/09
We were there around Thanksgiving 2008 and found it to be a very family-friendly city. We took the kids to the free attractions in Forest Park (the zoo and a quick trip through the art museum). There were a couple of very nice house museums too and we all liked the brewery tour. We also took the drive out to the Cahokia Mounds, which is a park ...

Robbed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/09
We were robbed at gunpoint during our visit in January 2009. The robbery occured near Euclid and Maryland avenue, in the Central West End, which is purportedly an ***upscale area populated by young urban professionals.*** The police seemed less than interested in our plight. Even our friends in St. Louis said "Hey, it's the city, you ...
