Minneapolis is the most technologically advanced city in the country, it's light rail system, skywalks, wi-fi bubble, and amazing modern architecture (with some very nice neo-gothic and classical buildings).
For a city of only 400,000 people I was blown away. There is a lot to do here. The city boasts 3 major sports teams (Vikings, Twins, ...
Minneapolis is a nice place, with lots of lakes, parks and restaurants. There are quite a few malls, the most popular being Mall of America, which i feel, is overrated, since most of the stuff is overpriced. Lakes are best in summers, so are the parks. One of the best lakes I've been to, is the Centennial Lake, which is a man-made lake and a ...

Our group was there for a volleyball tournament at the Convention Centre. We didn't even have to wear jackets because its all connected by inside walkways. Many good eating establishments - perhaps a bit overpriced - in a very centralized location. The beds were excellent and the service impecable. Excellent connections right across the ...
I used to live in Minneapolis and now live in Boston. Minneapolis' quality of life and cost of living is great. I try to get back to enjoy the thriving arts culture, friendly people that care about their environment they live in, and the large park system throughout downtown. Absolutely beautiful! People in Minnesota care and that shines through--in all four seasons.

Minneapolis Business Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/08
I recently went to Minneapolis on business and found it to be very nice. Being from Chicago, I compare most destinations with my hometown and rated Minneapolis very favorably. Has a Nicolett Mall as a "Mini-Michigan Ave" feel to it. Everything is conveniently located. Major Big 10 Univ. located within the city limits. Major Sporting ...

It's small enough that getting around is simple. taxis are easy to find, the light rail system can get you to and from the airport and mall of america, as well as around downtown, traffic isn't terrible, even at its worst, and the people are generally friendly. Uptown has coffee shops, a decent size mall, small movie theaters with great ...
Our trip was mainly to see family. My husband and I stayed two nights in Duluth right on Lake Superior. We went to some falls, watched the ships come in, went to Glensheen Mansion (which was Awesome). The last night we stayed at Comfort Suites directly across from Mall of America. Good to be home but Minnesota was really pretty state to visit.
I loved the Uptown Minneapolis area. It's an established area and has great shops and restaurants.
It is easy to find the Mall of America. The Mall is intimidating but I had a good shopping experience.
I avoided rush hour so driving wasn't too bad.

Rent a car next time you visit Minneapolis.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/07
The MOA has everything in one roof. I enjoyed riding the METRO especially the fare is very cheap. It was hard to get around town if you do not have a car.
The Twin Cities are not a bad place to go for a weekend trip. You have great shopping, beautiful parks and lakes close by, a terrific nightlife scene and a lot of culture. I recommend avoiding the winter. Too cold!
