Traverse City is so beautiful, it is a wonderful destination...for familys and couples who want to get away and relax. Not far from traverse is empire where the sand dunes are which is a must see. There is plenty to do in traverse though on our last trip to Traverse we checked out a New elegant night club...If you want a wonderful night of ...
The are has great golf courses, with the Grand Traverse Resort being the leader with three great courses, many swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor. The Resort is about 4 miles from Downtown Traverse City and a short drive to the many wineries.
There is also an Indian casino in the outskirts of town.
People are very friendly and the restaurants offer various cuisines.
I grew up in the surrounding area and looked forward to all of the exciting festivals occurring during the year. The Cherry Festival is a MUST as well as visiting the Art Museum on the NMC campus. Can't wait to see this place again!

I love it so much I want to move here!! TC has it all the beautiful aqua colored water, rolling hills, downtown shopping, and great people!!
The Traverse City area is one of the most beautiful places in Michigan for many reasons: there are the amazing lakes, bays, and beaches; the sand dunes are incredible; the little towns and their quaint shops and art galleries (especially Sutton's Bay) are fun to visit; and the overall atmosphere, quality of dining, and things to do makes ...

TC has become a yearly destination
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/06
We can not put into words how much we love Traverse City. It is a fantastic destination for families and a romantic getaway for couples. The wineries are fantastic, and as long as you have well behaved children, they are welcome in the tasting rooms. The views from Old Mission Penninsula are simply breathtaking. We have to say that one of our ...

Cherries & Dunes
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/05
National Cherry Festival is a great time to visit Traverse City! There's tons to do. There's always a lot to do there, but this just adds a huge kick of fun to your visit. And, the Sleeping Bear Dunes. What a hike, but worth it. Don't forget your camera!

Very nice place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/05
We stayed in Traverse City (actually Acme) for two nights after leaving Mackinac Island. What a lovely place! If it weren't for the cold winters, we'd consider moving up north because of the gorgeous bay, the pleasant downtown, and the easy access to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
I love shoping here although everything is spread out, it is hard to go to all in one day. It is a great place just visit for the day . The view on lake michigan is gorgeous..It is one of my favorite places....
