Boston has long been one of my favorite cities, especially in the warmer months. The best time of year is September and October when you catch a warm sunny day and can spend time walking around the city. The Freedom Trail is definitely a highlight, but remember to wear comfortable shoes. Other things to do include strolling down Newbery Street ...

A unique American city, unlike many boring, cookie-cutter cities in the US
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/14/05
Boston is such a fun place to visit. Parts of it have a European feel to it, which is very unlike most large American cities. Everything is easily accessible via the subway, cabs, or just walking, and there's so much within such a condensed area. Museums, bars, shopping...it has it all.

A Little Bit of Everything
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/14/05
Best city in America! Small city charm with a big city atmosphere. the worst part is early closing times. diverse crowds, old, young, gay, straight, black, white. Kind of like a much cuter, cleaner NYC. Shopping on Newbury or in the Pru, or even in Copley Square is fantastic. If you haven't come to Boston, you're missing out. Not ...

Fantastic!
By Becky, 07/04/05
I LOVE this city! It's perfect. Everyone walks and takes the subway everywhere; no one seems to drive.
There's a lot of history and a lot of famous sites to see. Best of all, they actually have a red line painted throughout their city that takes you to all of the famous sites! (like Bunker Hill, Paul Revere's House, the USS Constitution, etc.)
Don't miss out on Salem nearby. That's a place of its own.

Beautiful Boston
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/01/05
Boston is so beautiful. I went for Thanks Giving when the trees were still red and everything was covered in snow. Its such a beautiful city and there is no shortage of things to do. Everyone I met was lovely and very much in the holiday spirit. The open markets there are quite a treat, full of the wonders of the world with street performers and ...
i worked in new hampshire on a student visa and went through boston a few times over the summer. i would not dare give it a negative review as i loved it. there is a really good feeling to the city, its fun, relaxing and easy to get around. went on a city tour including a boat trip of the harbour- unbelievable! also went to the top of the prudential center at night and that was beautiful. all in all, an amazing city

Boston or bust
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/07/05
I moved to Boston from the mid west fresh out of college. I fell in love with the city and the life that it afforded. A tight, somewhat chaotic street pattern (rumor has it they're based on cow paths) with narrow tree lined streets makes it a frustrating place to drive and park, but a marvelous place to walk or bike. With the Emerald Necklace ...

Great trip!
By gotnothingintegee, 04/22/05
This was a wonderful city for a weekend away! It was only a four hour drive to get there, and there was plenty of things to see and do. We were able to walk most of the city in the two days we had, and the atmosphere was comfortable and safe where ever we went. (Of course, we are from NY, maybe not everyone would think so.) So many places to eat, historic buildings, parks everywhere, everything seemed clean. I would go back there anytime!
