I lived here for 13 years. It's really dirty and a dangerous city. The only place people come for is the harbor and it's not all that. The water usually smells and it looks dirty. My brother almost got robbed at the harbor. Some dude showed him a gun and my brother ran. If u go here go with people. If I had to reccomend anything it would be ...
Baltimore is a filthy crime ridden city. The worst in the mideast. I have lived in Maryland for 30 years. I recently visit Oriole Park to watch baseball, but when the game is over, I leave and go home. 40 miles away. Washington DC is so much nicer, with such a great atmosphere in most parts and the police are a strong presence in DC. Baltimore ...
Baltimore is the most violent city this side of detroit. There are parts of the craphole the police won't go to. There are parts you can enjoy, BUT you wander outside the tourist zone and your ass is toast.
I have spent over 2 months this year in Baltimore this year. It is very historical with United States history. You need to watch out for yourselves due to the high crime activity (stay around the Inner Harbor-it is safe down here)

Old and Interesting City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/16/08
I found Baltimore to be charming and full of history. The restaurant scene is fantastic for a city of it's size. New development and re-development gave me the impression that the city is on the move. I don't see the comparison to Detroit that the last review stated at all. Perhaps they didn't really visit lately? Inner harbor East ...

Really Awful - Along With St. Louis/Detroit, the Trifecta of Ghetto
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/08
Very few safe spots - reminds me of St. Louis or Detroit with better roads. Some of the nastiest people you will ever encounter. Head south to Virgina for a safer, more enjoyable experience.
We took a trip up to Maryland last month it was cool, we saw a lot of cool sites, I'll be bad for sure.We found a lot of great places to eat on the water front. The only problem with that is the parking, good luck with that.
I like to say that the only difference in the people of Baltimore and the people of Savannah, GA is that the people in Savannah are crazy and know it, love it, and embrace it. The people in Baltimore are equally crazy but they don't know it.

A City of Extremes
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/07
Baltimore is on one hand very progressive but also can be unfriendly, backward and very ghetto. The culture & history are amazing but this a EXPENSIVE & dirty place to live. Streets and byways are strewn with trash; crime is rampant. I have lived here about a year, and am NOT doing another year. Moving back to either KC, Chicago or Birmingham.
