I've been to new Orleans 3 times on vacations. The first time was not what I would call an enjojable experience.
Each time I returned, the experience was worse than the last.

crime on every corner.
hotel price is out of sight.
wouldn't hurt any to wash the sidewalk. It's very interesting, just mind your wallet and stay on the path.

Exceptional atmosphere, food is unreal, nothing like it anywhere else in the country. Real people, nice, outgoing and personable. Overall, best vacation, most fun I have ever had.

This was deffinately a unique city. It is fun and crazy yet still carries a sense of old history in its atmosphere. I would definitely recommend that everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime.

Hot and humid and now struggling badly after Katrina. Safety has long been an issue there. It may be many years before all is back to normal.

Always something new around every corner. From the most contemporary to the most traditional, and you never know what to expect. Shopping in the French Quarter is a treat and night life on Bourbon is an experience to remember the rest of your life.

What a wonderful city. After what they been through, they still pushing forward, and accomplishing a great deal. No one can stop New Orleans and Louisiana. Mardi Gras went on without a hitch. The Super Bowl should return. I love LA(Louisiana)

go to new orleans for no other reason than they need help and lots of it to recover, it's a beautiful city and lots of good food and night life all kinds of clubs and music for your enjoyment

major clean up still needed ony there 1 day and i didn't want to eat any place because afraid of bacteria and that the area still seemed scummy. Won't be going back for a good few years.
