Indy is one of America's best kept secrets. Cultural attractions, plenty of historic buildings, and a great sports scene. I would recommend Indianapolis to anyone.
Indianapolis is a wonderful city. The people were friendly and welcoming, and the city seems very hospitable to outsiders. I was most impressed with downtown Indianapolis. The downtown core is the among the best in the country with plenty of attractions, and virtually all of them are within walking distance of one another. Outside of the core, ...

Considering a move..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/07
My husband and I enjoyed Indianapolis so much during the times we've visited that we are considering a move in the next year or so. Indy has great neighborhoods and a plethora of cultural and sporting events to attend. And if we want to visit a bigger city with more amenities, Chicago is not an unreasonable distance away. The only thing we ...
i was quite upset because you would not change my 'departing from' airport to go back home to orlando. i was driven to memphis to visit my sister and never got picked up to go back to indianapolis. i had to buy a who new ticket which COST me over $300 and i had missed my flight out of indianapolis 'cause i was stuck in memphis (a $260 RT ticket). I do like the International Fest at the fairgrounds in Nov. and the Black Expo Summer Celebration in July. Downtown is ok, if you're used to small cities. It's a nice ...

Great Small Big City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/06
Indianapolis is a charming, hospitiable small big city. It has everything the big city has yet has a small town feel. I felt very safe and everything was within walking distance.
Indy's a great town. In terms of size its about the size of memphis, and kansas city. Theres lots to do. The zoo is really fun, and if you get a chance take your kids to the childrens museum. It's awesome! The state capitol building is really beautiful inside, also. Circle center mall is alot of fun, too. Oh, and dont forget about the RCA ...

pass on conventions
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
It doesn't matter how much this city sinks into the new convention center, Indianapolis is not a place that I want to travel to for a convention. I'll pass. If I'm going to travel, I'm going someplace worth the trip.

Likely not to return

I recently attended a convention in Indy and found the hotel convention rates extremely high. To top it off, the hotel charged $18 a day to park my car. Downtown public parking garages were $18 to $20 a day. Restaurants were also pricey. The next time my organization has a convention in Indy, I'll choose to stay home and save my money.
