Miami is vibrant, cultured, and exciting. If you are not into any of those things, then don't go. Everytime I go I have an amazing time, but maybe that's because I can appreciate different cultures, food, and lifestyles. After all, that IS the point of traveling to different places isn't it? Why would one travel and experience something ...

Miami, FL: The Rudest Place I've Ever Been
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 06/02/08
I am a student from the Washington, DC/VA Metropolitan area (Virginia) and was excited about the prospect of spending several years in a tropical, trendy locale while at the University of Miami. After two years, I still haven't gotten accustomed to the rudeness and in-your-face sense of entitlement many of the city's predominantly Cuban ...

I live here, and it's ok
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/23/08
Miami is a great place to live, but to me all these Cubans have came over here and taken over. They are very rude, and can't drive if their life depended on it, they skip you in lines they are just rude, rude, rude. And they think that if you don't speak Spanish then you don't belong in Miami, when what they fail to realize is that we ...
Landing at the Miami airport went quite smoothly, but after renting our vehicles, we drove around for a while and then stopped over at the Dolphin Mall on the far west side. The mall was very cool; a neat food court, some nice shops, one area that had some really cool boats for sale. Traffic was a little slow on most of the roads, but nothing too bad (certainly no potholes, like in Chicagoland).

By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/23/08
Miami has Very scary neighborhoods. I travel all over the united states and I have never seen any city anything close to as scary as miami. I strongly recomend staying in the touristy areas such as south beach and coconut grove for your safety. if you value your life. but even they are very scetchy. the traffic was gridlock at all hours. everything ...
We were in South Florida over the holidays, but only spent 1 day in Miami. We spent the other days in the Keys and in the Everglades. We didn't see much: only Little Havana and South Beach. It's not as rundown as some people say. Not once did I feel unsafe in either of the districts I visited. Little Havana was a little disappointing, not ...

Overrated City
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/04/07
The city is basically Miami Beach and that's it. After that Miami is nothing really, it was pretty boring after that. Take away the beach, the clubs in Miami Beach, and maybe the Zoo and you don't have anything left to do.
The good thing is that there's LOTS of restaurants with Latin food. Bad drivers though. Driving here was scary. ...
